Hannah Fung, from Toronto, Canada, is pursuing a PhD in biology at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She earned an honors bachelor of science degree with high distinction from the University of Toronto (UofT). At UofT, she was the associate science editor for TheĀ  Varsity student newspaper, and co-founded the Trinity College French Language Society. As a summer research assistant at the Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Colorado, she studied the effects of climate change on plant-pollinator interactions. She was awarded the University of Toronto National Scholarship for exceptional academic and extracurricular achievement.
