Jani Adcock, from Seattle, Washington, is pursuing a PhD in computational and mathematical engineering at Stanford School of Engineering. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she is earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with a minor in computer science. As an intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, she used field data to improve a wind farm model, and at Tesla Motors, she worked to improve the reliability of the Model 3. She has also worked as an energy strategy and operations analyst at Navigant Consulting. At MIT, she was the advisor of the Fall Career Fair Committee, and vice president of career development for the Society of Women Engineers.
