Wanyu Zhang, from Sichuan, China, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. She graduated from Peking University with a bachelor’s degree in law, and earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Oxford. She aspires to become a litigation lawyer and then a supreme court judge in China. She is the co-founder of Community, Society and Life, an educational summer camp for underprivileged rural children in China, and a youth ambassador of the Common Future Fund for Refugees. She was a teaching assistant at Peking University Law School, volunteered at the Rhodes Scholars’ South Africa Forum in the UK, and spent a semester as an exchange student at Stanford Law School. She is one of the first four Rhodes Scholars from China.
