Adrian Blattner

Adrian Blattner, from Berlin, Germany, is pursuing a PhD in economics at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He earned a bachelor’s degree in politics and economics from the University of Potsdam. Adrian aspires to become an economist whose research influences policy in the areas of education, housing, and gender equality. Following his undergraduate studies, Adrian joined the School Effectiveness & Inequality Initiative (SEII) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a research fellow. Prior to working at SEII, he was a research analyst at the World Bank, a research intern with the Centre for European Economic Research, and a volunteer teacher with La Esperanza Granada in Nicaragua. He was awarded the ERP Fellowship by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs, is a Fellow of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, and received the Germany Fellowship by the Federal Government of Germany. A longtime handball player, he was a semi-finalist in the 2018 US National Team Handball Championships.
