Rex Woodbury, from Tucson, Arizona, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master's degree in education at Stanford Graduate School of Education. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Rex aspires to build a social impact-centric business that leverages technology and community to accelerate workforce development. He has worked as Chief of Staff for TPG Growth and The Rise Fund, focusing on strategy and operations for TPG’s global growth equity and social impact funds. In his role, he helped incubate and launch Y Analytics, a public benefit corporation that measures social impact. Rex was previously on the investing team, where he executed The Rise Fund’s first investment in Latin America and helped build out the firm’s education technology portfolio. As an entrepreneur, Rex is the founder and CEO of Worthy, a nonprofit organization providing mentorship to the LGBTQ community. He has worked as an analyst for Goldman Sachs and is a board member of Back on My Feet. For his work with Worthy, he was recognized by The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
