Amanda Leavell

Amanda Leavell, from Houston, Texas, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and public policy, and a minor in Spanish language and culture. Amanda aspires to become a human rights researcher and grassroots activist, focusing on the roles of governance and international organizations in mitigating human rights abuses. She worked for Human Rights Watch as a senior associate in the Children’s Rights division, supporting research and advocacy on issues affecting children around the world. She also interned with Kiva and the US Department of State and was a member of the Princeton women’s lacrosse team, winning four Ivy League championships.
