Fauzan Reza Maulana, from Jakarta, Indonesia, is pursuing a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering at Stanford School of Engineering and an engineer degree at Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. He graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Fauzan aspires to unlock the potential of the built infrastructure and its impact to society through the implementation of digital systems. Primarily as a tunnel engineer, he was involved in the design of underground infrastructures across Asia-Pacific, including the Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 5 and the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit, where he developed tools to increase efficiency in design and project delivery. As a public speaker, he brought Indonesia its first win in the World Universities Debating Championship, and coached Indonesian youths to improve their speech skills. He was named Most Outstanding Student at Institut Teknologi Bandung.
