Cristián Eyzaguirre, from Santiago, Chile, is pursuing a master of the science of law degree (JSM) at Stanford Law School. He graduated summa cum laude from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile with a bachelor’s degree in law. Cristián is passionate about public law from a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective and is currently developing a research agenda that examines the characteristics of every constitution-making process that has taken place in Latin America over the last one hundred years and how those features shaped the content of the constitutions produced (his first article in this series was recently published in the Latin American Law Review). He previously worked as a legal advisor to the President of the Republic at the Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency of Chile, supervising the design and drafting of decrees, regulations, and legislative motions, and has been a Research Associate of the Comparative Constitutions Project since 2015.
