Juanita Fonseca, from Bogotá, Colombia, is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental law and policy at Stanford Law School. She earned a JD at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Juanita aspires to create legal tools that will facilitate investment in sustainable projects in Colombia and across Latin America. As an associate for the energy and natural resources team at a Colombian law firm, she advised clients in the structuring of diverse renewable energy and other green projects. At Javeriana, she was a member of the law school’s newspaper editorial board. Juanita is a passionate advocate for women and proudly serves in the advocacy group Latin America Women in Renewable Energy. She is currently dedicated to the foundation of a young women in energy group in Colombia, as she believes that diversity and innovation are key factors for the energy transition of her country and region.
