Nicholas Lui

Nicholas, from Singapore, is pursuing a master’s degree in statistics (data science track) at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Nicholas aspires to leverage data science for the public good. He served as chairman of The Wilberforce Society, the UK’s leading and oldest student-led think tank. During his tenure, he oversaw research that has informed policy discourse at a national level. Nicholas has worked for the Singapore government’s data science team, conducted research with the workforce transformation department, and helped launch ByteDance’s nascent portfolio of enterprise technologies. Nicholas also served as a platoon sergeant in a counter-terrorism unit and was an honor graduate of his infantry NCO course.
