Asaf Zilberfarb, from Kfar Ha’Oranim, Israel, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He received a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa as a double major in government and geography. He aspires to a career in journalism, education, or policymaking, promoting the values of tolerance and peace. He was a journalist at The Media Line news agency, and was a research assistant at think tanks in Israel and Washington, DC. He spent a semester at the London School of Economics and Political Science, was vice president of the Dartmouth International Students’ Association, and War and Peace Fellows Program student director at The Dickey Center for International Understanding. Prior to his university studies, he spent three years as a platoon leader and intelligence analyst in the Israeli Defense Forces, receiving a Major General Award for exceptional performance and creativity.
