Amy DiPierro

Amy DiPierro, from Park Ridge, New Jersey, is pursuing a master’s degree in communication at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated from Swarthmore College with a bachelor’s degree in history and economics. Amy aspires to use data analysis to strengthen local investigative journalism. As a journalist, she worked as a reporter for The Desert Sun in Palm Springs, a reporter for BusinessDen in Denver, and an intern at TheStreet and WHYY News public radio in Philadelphia. At Swarthmore, she was a reporter, editor, and producer on the student podcast War News Radio, and was a four-year athlete on Swarthmore’s women’s soccer team. She received the Civic Newman Fellows Award, and the Paul H. Beik Prize in history.
