Dan Knapp, from Morristown, New Jersey, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He graduated from Stanford with a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, and society, and a minor in African studies. Dan aspires to be a cross-discipline business leader, working with social enterprises and community organizations. He worked at Google in Singapore, leading YouTube core product marketing across Asia-Pacific and, prior to that, did brand marketing in London and San Francisco. His campaigns total over 400 million views and cover issues such as LGBTQ+ rights, gender equality (in partnership with the United Nations), the refugee crisis (in partnership with the International Rescue Committee), and civic engagement during the elections. For his campaigns, Dan was shortlisted for 2018 Young Marketing Leader of the Year and selected to the 2018 Class of Adcolor Futures. For his work as Junior Class President and director of Stanford Dance Marathon (in partnership with Partners in Health Rwanda), he received Stanford’s J.E. Wallace Sterling Award, Award of Excellence, and Campus Impact Award, and was inducted into Stanford’s Public Service Honor Society.
