Lucas Beissner

Lucas Beissner, from Yorktown, Virginia, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s degree in political science, minoring in Japanese. He aspires to become an expert in the field of democratization, to develop regional strategies for democratization to improve foreign relations. At the Academy, he was Vice Wing Commander, leading a 4,000-member group; a glider instructor pilot; and a graduate of the Air Force Academy’s skydiving program, AM-490. He was a member of the US Naval Academy Lean In Circles, dealing with gender issues in the military, and a member of the Navigators Christian Ministry, which addresses Christian concerns in the military and personal life.
