Shyheim Snead

Shyheim Snead, from Bridgeport, Connecticut, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master’s degree in education at Stanford Graduate School of Education. He graduated with honors from American University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Shyheim aspires to expand economic and educational outcomes for communities of color by leading and investing in cross-sector partnerships that drive equitable social change. Shyheim managed the Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance inaugural grant program, where he coordinated direct investments and technical assistance to 19 youth-serving organizations nationwide. Through his work at the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County and internships with DC Government and DC Public Schools, Shyheim has identified and implemented community-driven solutions to address challenges affecting youth and families. Shyheim is a recipient of the Truman Scholarship, the American University President’s Award, and the Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship.
