Anoma Bhat, originally from New Delhi, India and raised in five countries, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences, and a master's degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Previously, Anoma spent several years as a program officer at FHI 360, designing and managing USAID-funded democracy, rights, and governance projects in the Middle East and South Asia. She also worked at an employment discrimination law firm in San Francisco. Anoma graduated magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, and is proficient in Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu. During college, she also spent six months in Jordan on the US government’s Boren Scholarship. In the future, Anoma aspires to be a leader in international development, making the field more sustainable, efficient, inclusive, and impactful.
