Henry Cousins, from Lincoln, Massachusetts, is pursuing an MD and a PhD in neurosciences at Stanford School of Medicine. He graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology, and from the University of Cambridge with a master’s degree in bioscience enterprise. Henry aspires to develop treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. He interned at Bayer LifeScience Center in Berlin, was a researcher at Harvard’s Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, and was a research assistant at Boston University’s Alzheimer’s Disease Center. He was a three-year varsity wrestler at Harvard, and head coach for the Harvard College Special Olympics. He received a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, a Weissman Fellowship to teach in Vietnam, the Sophia Freund Prize, the Lawrence J. Henderson Prize, and the John P. Reardon Award as Harvard’s top male scholar-athlete.
